A Ministry to Enhance Appreciation of Holy Icons and the Traditions of the Eastern Churches



Life-giving Fountain     This is the Home Page of DominICON, a ministry of Western Dominican Province, the Dominican Order (Order of Preachers) of the Roman Catholic Church, serving the western United States. It is a ministry to Roman Catholic and Protestant parishes, schools and other Christian institutions. Its purpose is to expand and enhance the appreciation of holy icons, sacred images in the Byzantine tradition.

The ministry offers Art & Spirituality of the Icon - a presentation including slide-lectures and icon painting classes, to parishes and other organizations.

DominICON is directed by Fr. Brendan McAnerney, OP, and also offers three to seven day Icon Retreats, and icon commissions.
